Our services

Since November 2012, Trans-Mar Services has been certified by the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping for the production of pilot and embarkation rope ladders, as well as for testing and subsequent certification of the fitness of the ladders.

Rope Ladder design is the result of many years of experience in this area, leading into the regulations and safety of the end user. All Pilot or Embarkation Ladders are manufactured based on the specific customer requirements and are delivered worldwide.

Our ladders are made of materials with certified quality and are equipped with:

– Unique serial number

– Manufacturer’s certificate with the same serial number;

– Instructions for use.

In 2018, due to the successful implementation of project ВG05M9OP001-4.001-0164-С01 „Transnational Partnerships for Employment and Growth”, funded by Operational Programme “Human Resources Development”, cofounded by the European Union through the European Social Fund –  2014 – 2020, we managed to successfully develop and integrate the production of ladders, where the fixation of the steps is carried out through specially developed, hydraulically pressed aluminum clips. The implementation of the new technology guarantees even higher quality of our products, as well as significantly shorter terms for the production of ladders. The new production has been certified by the European Agency of Inspecting and Certification – EAIC. Based on the audit and inspection carried out by the European Agency of Inspecting and Certification – EAIC we obtained a “MED” certificate for the production and inspection of rope Pilot and Evacuation ladders.

The above was followed by an inspection by the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping, based on which we were issued a TYPE APPROVAL CERTIFICATE.

We also offer to our clients the following additional rigging services:

  • entanglement of 8-strand braided ropes with eyes
  • manufacture of “bosun rope chairs”
  • manufacture of rope and chain clam cleats
  • manufacture of “rescue flings”
  • entanglement of wire rope slings
  • entanglement of cargo and safety nets

Customs and forwarding

We are a member of the Bulgarian Union for Customs and Foreign Trade Service, as well as a Certified Customs Agent. We offer our customers professional customs services, forwarding and logistics, as well as the opportunity to use us as a “WAREHOUSE HUB”. It allows our customers to send and forward shipments for their ships from all over the world to our warehouse. We keep them until the arrival of their ship in one of the ports we serve, and then deliver the shipments on board. If the vessel changes its destination, we arrange all formalities to send the ship parts “transit” to the next convenient port.

Since June 2018 the company has a CNC 3D plotter. The plotter works with wood, MDF, metal, plastic, polyamide, polypropylene, PTFE sheets, rubber (natural, oil resistant and reinforced), plain and oil-resistant gasket joint sheets, graphite and reinforced gasket joint sheet.

The machine has the ability to work based on technical drawings received from the customer in an electronic form, where the high speed and accuracy of operation guarantee fast and qualitative execution of the orders. Trans-Mar Services has experts who can offer technological solutions to any specific inquiries from customers for the quality performance of their orders.

Nautical charts POD

Print-on-demand (POD) is a printing technology and business process in which charts are printed upon receipt of an order, allowing prints of singular or small quantities in a short time period. To produce a POD chart, cloud-based encrypted chart data files are received upon request from the updated Admiralty database. This secure data ensures there is no manipulation of size or content. Charts are then printed on dedicated, Admiralty-recommended printer, using Admiralty-provided paper and cut to Admiralty chart specifications.

In addition to hand-corrected, up-to-date stock charts, the Trans-Mar Services’ Nautical Charts & Publications Department now provides Print-on-Demand (POD) service for Admiralty charts which allows us to print the latest standard nautical charts on site and fulfil any urgent orders in the quickest time possible, if we do not already have the chart in stock in the quantity required.

This speeds our efficiency and allows backup redundancy. With POD and our hand-corrected stock, we can now provide our clients immediate access to 99% of their requirement for BA charts. At the time of printing, POD charts are up to date with the latest Admiralty Notices to Mariners. Trans-Mar Services Ltd. is certified with ISO9001:2015 which helps maintain the high BA standard of quality. Once a day an in-house print test is run to verify the color, size and alignment against an Admiralty master print. Once a month a test print is sent to Admiralty, who then verify all aspects of the product.
